Dialogue as strategic infrastructure
The animal protection movement contains genuine disagreement about strategy, tactics, ethical frameworks, and priorities. That disagreement is not a weakness. It is a sign of a movement that takes ideas seriously and that includes people with diverse life experiences and contexts.
The problem is not disagreement. The problem is that the movement often lacks the structures and skills to have those disagreements productively. Without them, difference becomes division, and division becomes the kind of fractiousness that drains energy and damages relationships that the movement badly needs.
The Dialogue Platform exists to build those structures and develop those skills. We believe that difference, when held with genuine curiosity and good faith, is generative. Our job is to create the conditions under which that can happen.

Facilitated Cross-Movement Sessions
Professionally facilitated dialogue between organisations and individuals with different approaches, strategies, or ethical frameworks. Designed to build understanding without requiring agreement.
Digital Discussion Forums
Asynchronous online spaces with clear community guidelines and active facilitation, where advocates can engage with each other's ideas across time zones and schedules.
Conflict Transformation Support
For organisations or working relationships that have moved from productive tension to damaging conflict, we offer professional support toward restoration and renewed collaboration.
Annual Dialogue Summit
An open, participatory summit held annually in which the full Accord community comes together to engage with the themes and questions that matter most to the movement that year.
Facilitation Training
Training in dialogue facilitation skills for advocates who want to be able to hold productive conversations within their own organisations and communities.
Dialogue Archive
A curated archive of significant dialogues, shared commitments, and outputs that feed into the Accord Index and help the movement learn from its own history of conversation.

Deep Listening
We seek first to understand. We ask questions before making statements.
Psychological Safety
Nothing said in a dialogue session is shared outside without the explicit consent of the speaker.
Good Faith
We assume that those we disagree with have good reasons for their positions, even when we cannot yet see them.
Generativity
The goal is not consensus. The goal is that we all leave more capable of effective action than when we arrived.
